More accolades for NFSTC

PR News has named the finalists in their annual nationwide roundup of talented communicators in the non-profit sector.  We’re pleased to announce that NFSTC is in the hunt for an award in the Employee/Internal Communications category.

With the fast growth of our organization over the past few years and the numerous projects NFSTC conducts across the country, it’s been a challenge keeping staff abreast of newsworthy developments and staying up to speed with the only constant in our world – change.

So in 2011, we focused some of that trademark NFSTC innovation to take a fresh look at how we communicate with our staff and our numerous contractors. Our Internal Communications Renovation resulted in new tools including weekly audio messages from our CEO, a revamped staff meeting that ensures plenty of Q&A time with our Executive Team, project-based Intranet news feeds, and fun extras such as ESPN-style reports on our kickball team, the Lab Rats.

This initiative has kept everyone plugged in by providing our people with the right information at the right time and in the right manner. Thanks to our Communications Services and Technology Services department for helping  implement these numerous changes.

The winners of PR News’ non-profit communications awards will be announced at the National Press Club in Washington, DC on March 15. For the full list of honorees, visit: http://www.prnewsonline.com/awards/nonprofit2012-finalists.html.
