NFSTC joins JANUS Research Group to support Army Expeditionary Forces

The National Forensic Science Technology Center (NFSTC) has been selected to work with JANUS Research Group, Inc. (JANUS) on a 5-year, $800 million multiple award Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract supporting Army Expeditionary Forces. The team will provide basic and applied research, advanced technology development, demonstration and validation, and operational systems development services for the U.S. Army Research Laboratory (ARL) Advanced Expeditionary Warfare Development (AEWD) program.

NFSTC’s experience and expertise will support the efforts in Expeditionary Forces and Special Operations, and Deployable Force Protection categories. More than 30 contractors will coordinate their know-how to provide timely, top-quality work for our nation’s warfighters.

“We are honored to serve the U.S. Army under this contract,” says Kevin Lothridge, NFSTC CEO. “NFSTC has a proud history of serving our nation’s military with training and logistical support and we intend to adhere to the high standards we have set in that arena.”

The evolution of tools and techniques that can take forensic analysis beyond the laboratory coupled with the growth in expeditionary force deployment has created a need for skills and system development.  NFSTC provides biometric, forensic and expeditionary analysis training and support to a variety of military and homeland security customers.
