Making a Difference

"They did an excellent job, they were thorough, professional, and knowledgeable. I must say that I was a little apprehensive about the audit, but it was a good experience with no downside."

NFSTC leader selected to serve on Florida’s Professional Science Masters Advisory Board

Kevin Lothridge, CEO, has been named to Florida’s Professional Science Masters (PSM) Advisory Board.  The PSM Advisory Board will provide guidance to the Florida Council of Graduate Deans in their effort to increase the number of PSM programs in the state, with a goal of providing 28 programs through the state university system.

The Professional Science Master’s (PSM) degree is equivalent to a graduate degree and is designed to prepare students for science careers in business, government or non-profit organizations.  PSM candidates can complete the program in two years, including internships, and participate in rigorous science or mathematics studies with skills-based coursework in management, policy, law or related fields.  Studies emphasize both written and verbal communication skills, preparing students for leadership in professional settings.

Lothridge has participated in the development of Forensic Science curricula at the high school, undergraduate and professional levels, and will provide science-to-business expertise on the advisory panel.   He takes a special interest in science education and has also participated in STEM activities on the state and local level.
