NFSTC Community Outreach

The National Forensic Science Technology Center (NFSTC) provides no-cost goods and services to public crime laboratories.

The purpose of the NFSTC Community Outreach program is to:

  • Inform forensic science service delivery agencies about NFSTC programs
  • Support other organizations who support forensic science service delivery
  • Gain input and feedback from the forensic science and law enforcement communities to assist in targeting our programs and services to their needs

Outreach Support for Missing Person Regional Training

NFSTC co-hosts Missing Person Regional Training with OJP - NIJ

  • Conference East held in Clearwater Beach, FL (September 19-21, 2005)

      During the final day of the conference, several open cases were presented by investigators.
      Within weeks of the East offering, a cold case was solved.


  • Conference West held in Denver, CO (November 7-9, 2005)

Outreach Support for Cold Case Regional Training

NFSTC co-hosts Cold Case Regional Training with OJP - NIJ:

Conference held in Kansas City, Kansas (April 18-19, 2006)

An attendee of this conference, a Special Agent with the Wisconsin Department of Justice, Division of Criminal Investigation under the President’s DNA Initiative grant on cold case homicides, recently reported to the NIJ that an 18 year old cold case was solved.
