NFSTC Provides Key Training to Military
NFSTC recently completed a two-week, hands-on Site Exploitation course for military service members. Participants in the course gained critical skills to identify, prioritize and collect evidence, and perform presumptive testing on powders, explosive materials and controlled substances.
FIDEX to be Presented at the 2009 NIEM National Training Event
NFSTC’s Forensic Information Data Exchange (FIDEX) project has been selected for inclusion in the upcoming National Information Exchange Model (NIEM) Training Conference to be held in Baltimore, MD, from September 30 to October 2, 2009.
NFSTC Offering Two Free Forensic Biological Screening Workshops for Crime Scene Investigators in Training
Biological Screening Workshop attendees will learn screening techniques for blood and semen, use of alternative light source for locating biological stains, evidence collection, documentation, and case processing skills.
NFSTC Hosts Trace Evidence Symposium (August 3-7)
Over 300 members from all sectors of the justice community convened in Clearwater Beach, Florida recently to attend the Trace Evidence Symposium. This five-day conference brought together expert researchers and practitioners from throughout North America and Europe to share the latest information on using trace evidence to investigate and solve crimes.
