The National Forensic Science Technology Center (NFSTC) announced today its partnership with Global SOF Foundation. The move will allow the Largo-based not-for-profit direct access to not only a database of qualified veteran employment candidates, but also a vast network of companies dedicated to the Special Operations Forces (SOF) industry.
NFSTC has been serving the Department of Defense (DoD) community since 2007, specializing in forensic science-based training, procurement and support services. Global SOF Foundation brings together corporations and individuals to address global security challenges facing today’s modern warfighter.
“As a nation, we still have a need to arm our men and women in uniform with the best training and latest technology that will best suit them in the field,” Kevin Lothridge, NFSTC CEO, says. “Our partnership with Global SOF connects the best-of-the-best in the defense industry so we can work together to provide the highest quality products to the government.”
An added benefit of the partnership is access to a skilled veteran workforce. Global SOF has a network of SOF personnel for recruitment NFSTC can utilize when searching for specific qualifications for future projects. NFSTC is proud to have veterans on staff; nearly 30 percent of the workforce has served in the armed forces.
The two Tampa Bay area based organizations will showcase their partnership at a reception May 23 ahead of this year’s SOFIC convention in Tampa.
