NFSTC’s Thureson named a CFO of the Year finalist

Dennis Thureson, financial services manager, has been named as a finalist for CFO of the Year.

NFSTC is proud to announce that Dennis Thureson, financial services manager, has been named to the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s list of finalists for 2011 CFO of the Year.  This is the second time Thureson has received this honor.

An NFSTC team member since 2000, Dennis has seen a great deal of growth and expansion and has been instrumental in developing innovative ways to manage all aspects of the organization’s financial health and stability.  His efforts have included restructuring the financial systems to incorporate a high level of compliance and ensure solid audit outcomes, establishing policies, procedures and controls to assist project managers, and increasing transparency.

Dennis is a Florida Certified Public Accountant and has worked as a Chief Financial Officer for both profit and not-for-profit organizations.  He is an active member of the American Institute for CPAs, the Florida Institute for CPAs, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and the honorary accounting fraternity of Beta Alpha Psi.

The winner will be named at a luncheon on February 24, 2011.
