This training program is provided at no cost to eligible applicants and is designed to expand an investigator’s baseline knowledge and skills by providing instruction related to the more complex applications and processes used to conduct a crime scene investigation. The 40-hour program includes prerequisite online coursework and hands-on, instructor-led practical activities conducted at the NFSTC training facilities in Largo, FL. Participants will be required to complete online course work, assignments and assessments prior to attending the onsite session. The course may be applied to training requirements of the International Association for Identification (IAI) Crime Scene Certification program.
When: The program is scheduled to begin in fourth quarter 2011 and conclude in September 2012.
